A look back at the press presentation of skeyes' Digital Tower Development Centre on Thursday 25 April 2024. On this occasion, skeyes immersed the audience in the future of air traffic control: digital control towers. Not only do they offer the advantage of controlling traffic remotely without the constraints of a physical control tower, but they also equip controllers with new augmented reality tools for the benefit of air safety.

The Digital Tower Development Centre is the prototype for the digital control tower currently under construction in Namur, which will replace the physical towers in 2026 for the joint control of Liège and Charleroi airports.

The project is being carried out by skeyes in cooperation with SOWAER (Société Wallonne des Aéroports) and equipment manufacturer SAAB Air Traffic Digital Solutions.
