Environmental Policy Officer
What does a skeyes Environmental Policy Officer do?
You ensure the follow-up of the environmental performance related to the activities of skeyes and you ensure good communication with our external and internal partners. You manage projects, identify improvement initiatives and develop new tools.
In this context, the Environmental Policy Officer is expected to:
- monitor and analyse environmental performance, identify areas for improvement as well as possible initiatives that could provide improvements/solutions;
- translate technical data and concepts so that they can be understood by a wide audience, and ensure that they are properly communicated to stakeholders;
- facilitate discussions within skeyes on projects that are necessary for the environment;
- carry out and follow up environmental studies at the request of the various stakeholders (federal authorities, airports, etc.) and in cooperation with the various parties involved;
- establish, formalise and update the various processes within the Environment Cell, in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard, and ensure the monitoring of environmental regulatory activities.
Candidate profile
What makes you the perfect Environmental Policy Officer?
- you have at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
- you have at least 3 years of experience in performance monitoring and reporting;
- you are an excellent communicator, which enables you to communicate with different types of stakeholders without difficulty;
- you are aware of the climate issues;
- you have a good knowledge of English, as well as a good command of Dutch and/or French;
- knowledge of aviation and/or environmental performance indicators in this field is an advantage.
