Aeronautical System Maintenance Technician
As a Aeronautical System Maintenance Technician at skeyes, you contribute directly to air traffic safety. You will be responsible for the maintenance, monitoring and optimisation of various technical systems, such as communication, navigation, radar and control tower systems. Thanks to your technical expertise, these critical systems continue to function reliably 24/7.
You will join a multidisciplinary team where collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous development are central. Through an extensive training program you will get to know the different systems step by step and you will build up the expertise to carry out interventions independently. At the same time, you will contribute to the digitisation and modernisation of skeyes’ technical infrastructure.
What does an Aeronautical system maintenance technician do at skeyes?
- You will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on the technical systems for which you have been trained.
- You will analyse and resolve technical failures in order to ensure the continuity and safety of air traffic.
- You will contribute to the optimisation and modernisation of existing systems and actively consider structural improvements.
- You will monitor the various systems and build up a broad technical expertise through internal training.
- You will work with various internal services and external partners at and around the airport.
- After your training, you will participate in on-call duty and carry out interventions independently.
- You will guide new colleagues during their training and share your knowledge within the team.
- You will mainly work from Wallonia at our Liege site. In addition, you will build up a good knowledge of the local operation through regular presence in Charleroi. With the further roll-out of the digital tower, our site in Namur will also be part of your working area.
- You will work in a shift system with day, evening, night, weekend and on-call duty shifts.
Candidate profile
What makes you the ideal Aeronautical system maintenance technician?
- You have a graduate, bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field (electronics, electromechanics, ICT, automation, aviation technology...) or equivalent experience.
- Motivated junior profiles are also welcome. We provide an extensive training program so that you get to know the various systems thoroughly.
- You have a strong technical background and are interested in electronics, IT, computer networks and complex technical installations.
- You are analytically minded and systematically look for the cause of technical failures.
- You are eager to learn and like to get to know new technologies and systems.
- You like to work as part of a team, but also take initiative independently.
- You are stress-resistant, flexible and comfortable in an operational environment where acting quickly is key.
- You're not afraid of heights.
- You hold a B driving licence.
- You have an excellent command of French and a good command of English (minimum B1/B2 level).
