Where to address your request for opinion
Opinion request workflow and routing process
| Type of request | Who to send it to |
| Official urbanism opinion (permit) | → Public authority (BCAA / Omgevingsloket/ Permit Authority) |
| Preliminary opinion | → Directly to skeyes Urbanism service |
| Cranes and temporary installations | → Directly to skeyes Urbanism service |
Buildings and permanent constructions
Official permits for buildings and permanent constructions need to submitted by the applicant to the competent region depending on the location of the building or permanent construction (Flanders, Wallonia or Brussels).
The regional authority will request an opinion via BCAA (Belgian Civil Aviation Authority).
Applicants are not supposed to send their permit request directly to skeyes.
Cranes and temporary installations
Temporary installations (including cranes, scaffolding, or transmission equipment) not subject to prior authorisation, when located in the immediate vicinity of airports managed by skeyes or near skeyes installations, shall be subject to assessment by the Urbanism service.
- The applicant shall send his request directly to skeyes (urba@skeyes.be).
Windturbines
Wind turbines typically exceed the height thresholds indicated on the Aeronautical Obstacle Evaluation Map (AOEM).
This consequently triggers a federal aeronautical obstacle assessment procedure:
- To be submitted to BCAA obstacle service (obstacles@mobilit.fgov.be)
