You will ensure the continued availability and performance of cloud infrastructures, facilitating innovation and providing the operational agility essential to our success.

What does a skeyes Cloud Engineer do?

  • You manage, design and implement a scalable, resilient and efficient cloud infrastructure to support skeyes' IT services.
  • You are a technical expert in cloud technologies, responsible for ensuring that cloud services are aligned with business objectives, regulatory standards and the most effective and innovative practices in the industry.
  • You contribute to the financial health and efficiency of your department by optimising the use of cloud resources.
  • You work closely with various IT teams, including Project Managers, Business Analysts and Security Analysts, to deliver robust cloud solutions for various projects and requirements.

Candidate profile

What makes you our perfect Cloud Engineer?

  • You have at least 7 years' experience as a Cloud Engineer in a large IT environment with critical systems and networks.
  • You have extensive expertise in Microsoft Azure.
  • You have in-depth, practical knowledge in the following fields:
    • design, development and deployment of cloud-based solutions using Azure services.
    • deployment and management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure Bicep or Terraform.
    • Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly SQL Data Warehouse).
    • CI/CD pipelines (Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment) using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
    • implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations within Azure environments.
    • monitoring Azure resources, configuring alerts and using tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics and Application Insights to obtain information on application performance and availability.
  • You are able to analyse and understand complex situations and dependencies quickly;
  • You have good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • You work meticulously and rigorously and pay attention to quality and safety.
  • You are fluent in English and can also express yourself in Dutch or French.
  • As our systems have to remain operational 24/7, we're counting on you to be flexible and occasionally available outside normal working hours, on a rota basis.
