Human Performance Coordinator

As our Human Performance Coordinator, you will promote aviation safety by maintaining and further developing Human Performance in the COO operational unit. You will do this by providing advice and expertise as well as monitoring the functioning of the CISM team. In doing so, you report to the OPS & Tech Training & Human Performance Manager.

What does a Human Performance Coordinator do?

  • You maintain the Human Performance management already built up within the operational department (COO). You do this by, among other things:
    • following up, directing as well as qualitatively monitoring the work realized by colleagues, operational managers and project teams within the framework of Human Factors.
    • monitoring any new European directives that skeyes and, more specifically, COO needs to comply with, with a view to setting up Team Resources Management training if necessary.
    • contributing to the further development of the Human Performance matter within an operational environment with 24/7 services.
  • You provide, maintain and further develop the relevant knowledge and your own expertise. You do this by:
    • further developing your own insights through benchmarking, studies and professional networking in order to communicate these to the COO.
    • providing advice and coaching on Human Performance.
    • making expertise available to those responsible for programme & project management within COO so that Human Factors is given its own proper role in the development of tools and processes, in the practical preparation of new Methods & Procedures.
    • making your own expertise (which is highly operational and practice-based) available in strategic discussions, negotiations with social partners and re-design exercises concerning HR regulations and operational processes.
    • contributing actively in interdisciplinary teams to analyse and evaluate processes and draw up concepts, specifications, recommendations and strategies.
  • You will monitor the operation of the CISM team for COO. (CISM = Critical Incident Stress Management).
  • You are responsible for the further development of the mental coaching programme for ATCOs as well as ATCO Trainees.
  • You share your expertise with the training team in order to provide insights into growth mindset and other pedagogical theories. On the one hand to support the training organisation, on the other hand to increase the success rate of the trainee.

Candidate profile

What makes you the ideal Human Performance Coordinator?

  • You hold a Master's or PhD degree in Cognitive, Experimental, Industrial/Organizational or Applied Psychology, Educational Sciences or in Human Factors or equivalent.
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Technical training as an aviation professional (ATCO, Engineer, Pilot), actual experience in the aviation sector or having obtained an ATPL, CPL, PPL is a big plus;
  • Demonstrable experience in mental coaching is a must.
  • You are good at coaching and training employees.
  • You have a creative mindset and link this to innovative problem-solving thinking.
  • You are prepared to undergo continuous training in the field of Human Factors in the aviation sector.
  • You speak and write English fluently and have a good command of Dutch and French.
