IT PMO Manager

As our IT PMO Manager you have a very visible role in the organisation and you report directly to the CIO. You coordinate and supervise all IT requests, programs and projects. You will also lead a team of project managers and business analysts.

What does an IT PMO Manager do at skeyes?

  • As our IT PMO Manager you ensure that project management within the organisation is structured, efficient and qualitative. You will develop and manage clear processes, methodologies and standards that steer all projects and programs and ensure that these practices are applied correctly, so that projects are implemented successfully and according to plan.
  • You guide and support project and program managers during all phases of their projects. You monitor progress, keep track of budgets, plannings and risks, and intervene where necessary. With clear reports and reliable management information, you ensure that IT management and other stakeholders always have insight into the status of projects.
  • You act as a central point of contact for project management and carefully coordinate expectations, priorities and dependencies with internal stakeholders. In doing so, you foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team and the wider organisation.
  • You lead the PMO team and ensure their professional development, so that they can take up their role with confidence and a focus on results.

Candidate profile

What makes you the perfect IT PMO Manager?

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. IT, business administration, information management).
  • You have at least 5 to 10 years of experience in project management within an IT environment, including several years in a coordinating or managerial PMO role.
  • You have proven knowledge of and experience with various project management methods such as PRINCE2, PMI/PMP and Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe). You know when, and which approach you can best apply.
  • You have demonstrated experience in managing, coaching and developing a team of project or program managers.
  • You create an atmosphere in which people can develop, take responsibility and work together.
  • You are able to structure complex information and translate it into workable processes, tools and reports. You keep an overview, identify dependencies and bottlenecks and intervene in time.
  • You set high standards for the quality of project execution and results. At the same time, you know how to guide your team in this and motivate them to achieve project goals within the agreed time, scope and budget.
  • You communicate clearly and impactfully, both orally and in writing. You feel at ease at different levels in the organisation and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You see opportunities to make processes and working methods smarter and more efficient and you know how to involve your team in this exercise. You stimulate a culture of knowledge sharing, learning and improvement.
