IT Portfolio Manager & PMO Lead

As our IT Portfolio Manager & PMO Lead, you will have a very visible role in the organization and you will report directly to the CIO. You will coordinate and supervise all IT demands, programs and projects. Furthermore you will manage a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts.

What does a skeyes IT Portfolio Manager & PMO Lead do?

  • You will set up and manage the overall portfolio of IT projects keeping the strategic business objectives, project interdependencies and available resources in mind. You are able to centralize demand, coordinate and prioritize projects while allocating Project Managers and Business Analysts where needed.
  • You will govern the identification, prioritization, initiation and realization of projects and programs by defining standardized process and practices on Project Management and IT analysis. and ensuring compliance to these standards.
  • You will establish and manage IT Resource Management practices by planning and monitoring the capacity of the whole of IT Resources, optimizing resource allocation and proactively managing potential capacity issues.
  • You will ensure clear reporting towards the (IT) Leadership on status, risks and impediments by implementing and managing a monitoring and reporting system for IT projects and through regular communication towards stakeholders on portfolio and project progress.
  • You will embed continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancing effectiveness and efficiency of processes and practices. Furthermore you promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • You will lead and mentor the IT PMO team keeping their professional growth and the successful delivery of their responsibilities at heart by developing and implementing training and development plans for team members. You will conduct performance evaluations on a regular basis providing constructive feedback.

Candidate profile

What makes you the perfect IT Portfolio Manager & PMO Lead?

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in field of IT/Business Economics with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the similar function.
  • Experience in establishing and managing PMO governance frameworks and processes to ensure alignment with standards and objectives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate PMO plans and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels
  • Broad experience in applying best practices in project management and IT analysis
  • Strategic Planning: Ability to align IT portfolio investments with organizational strategy, goals, and priorities.
  • Experience of project management using AGILE or PRINCE2 methodology (or equivalent) for medium to large sized projects
  • Strong skills in creating and maintaining multi-year project roadmaps and portfolio views
  • Experience of implementing Project level financial management.
  • Experience of defining and delivering benefits realization for projects and program
  • You speak Dutch and/or French and fluent English.
