Senior Expert International Affairs

As Senior Expert International Affairs, you will support skeyes’ international engagement and represent the organisation within European and Global aviation fora.

You will contribute to develop and implement the international strategy of skeyes, ensuring that our positions and partnerships strengthen the company’s influence, visibility, and alignment with the evolving Air Traffic Management (ATM) landscape.

Your strategic insight, operational understanding, and knowledge of the EU institutional environment will enable skeyes to anticipate developments and contribute proactively to international decision-making.

What does a skeyes Senior Expert International Affairs do?

  • You will contribute to define and implement the international affairs strategy of skeyes in line with the company’s strategic objectives and under the guidance of the Executive Committee;
  • You will oversee and coordinate the skeyes’ participation in key international organisations and partnerships (CANSO, EUROCONTROL, FABEC, EASA, ICAO, etc.) and represent the company in high-level meetings, working groups, and negotiations;
  • You will maintain close collaboration with the EUROCONTROL Agency and the Network Manager, ensuring that skeyes’ operational and strategic interests are effectively represented and that developments in network operations and performance management are anticipated and integrated within the organisation;
  • You will build and strengthen strategic relationships with institutional stakeholders (European Commission, Member States, aviation industry bodies, ANSPs, airlines) to position skeyes as a trusted and proactive partner in the European ATM community;
  • You will provide strategic advice to the Executive Committee on international policy, regulatory, and operational matters, including the implications of developments under the Single European Sky framework and the performance scheme;
  • You will ensure effective internal coordination and information flow across departments regarding international regulatory, operational, and policy issues;
  • You will oversee and contribute to the preparation of position papers, executive notes, speaking points, and strategic briefings for senior management and external audiences.
  • You will contribute to enhancing skeyes’ visibility and influence within the European and global aviation community through proactive engagement, thought leadership, and strategic foresight.

Candidate profile

What makes you the perfect Senior Expert International Affairs?

  • You hold a Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Law, Economics, Engineering, or another relevant field.
  • You have at least 7 years of relevant experience within the aviation sector (ideally in ATM) including experience representing an organisation in international fora or regulatory settings.
  • You possess a strong understanding of Air Traffic Management (ATM), complemented by a background or familiarity with ATM Operations.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of the EUROCONTROL Agency and Network Manager functions, as well as the Single European Sky institutional and regulatory framework.
  • You have excellent strategic and analytical abilities, enabling you to interpret international and operational developments and translate them into actionable recommendations for senior management.
  • You are a persuasive communicator and negotiator, able to engage effectively with institutional stakeholders, operational experts, and executive decision-makers.
  • You have a solid knowledge of standard IT tools (Microsoft Office) and good understanding and working knowledge of SharePoint
  • You have an excellent command of English (spoken and written); knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an asset.
  • You are willing to travel abroad.
