Surveillance Expert
As our Surveillance Expert, you will be responsible for monitoring our radar systems.
What does a skeyes Surveillance Expert do?
- you monitor the (corrective and preventive) maintenance of radar systems and analyse the problems reported by our technicians;
- you analyse anomalies reported by our (internal and external) customers (e.g. air traffic controllers) and work out solutions;
- under the supervision of a project leader and as a member of a project team, you take part in the implementation of radar projects. You co-write technical specifications where your expertise is key, you participate in factory inspections and ensure seamless integration in our air traffic control centre;
- you follow the existing internal procedures and any changes in the regulations imposed on us (e.g. ISO, EASA, ICAO, Eurocontrol);
- writing and maintaining maintenance reports as well as technical reports and performing safety studies are part of your daily activities;
- you analyse the impact of obstacles and frequencies on our radar systems, formulate recommendations and help work out solutions to reduce the possible impact where possible;
- after internal training, you are responsible for part of the training within the radar service. This includes both preparing syllabi and providing training;
- you will work in a day shift, but will be part of a standby shift on a rotating basis.
Candidate profile
What makes you the perfect Surveillance Expert?
- you are an engineer, preferably with a specialisation in IT and/or Electronics;
- relevant experience in a similar function or sector is an absolute asset;
- you preferably have knowledge of TCP/IP networks (LAN/WAN), radio frequency and digital techniques;
- you have excellent analytical skills, enabling you to thoroughly analyse problems and formulate improvement proposals;
- you are a fluent communicator with the necessary empathy;
- you have knowledge of Linux Software;
- you have a working knowledge of French or Dutch and English;
- you are in possession of a category B driver’s license and you are willing to work in shifts.
