System Generalist (EPNB)

Main Purpose of the position

Responsible for supporting and maintaining our systems with focus on the simulator environment at EPNB, to support the current and future needs of the business. Act as pilot during ATC/ATS simulations whenever required.

Key responsibilities

  • IT support for all systems at EPNB with the focus on simulator environments.
  • Supporting the training by providing seating configuration to the client.
  • Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access.
  • Preparing various handouts.
  • Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access.
  • Coordinate IT, security, sim logbooks and technical reporting of changes or failure.
  • Ensure sufficient training and competence of simulator pilots.
  • Support the configuration of simulator environment.
  • Support the implementation of new and changed IT systems.
  • Working as a simulator pilot.
  • (Re-)Assess pilots competences and skills.
  • Assist in improving the graphical and didactical design of the training material.
  • Assist with other activities such as, but not limited to, delivery of theoretical courses related to simulator training or any other courses if applicable.
  • Support the development of the simulator ATC exercises.
  • Liaison with IT Support in Sweden.
  • Logging of issues through the third party ticketing tool.
  • Logging of issues trough EPN Helpdesk.

Candidate profile

  • Education and experience
    • Pilot skills or an ATC background is desirable.
    • Aviation English is required.
    • It’s recommended to have an academic degree in Computer Science or similar and at least three years of experience in various roles related to the IT domain.
