Technical Project Manager
The team of Technical Project Managers at skeyes is responsible for upgrading and modernising all the technical systems that keep air traffic safe and efficient. From radars and navigation systems to meteorological tools and Air Traffic Management solutions, you will be working on technology that is essential for keeping air traffic running smoothly.
As skeyes is rolling out an ambitious investment programme, we are looking to strengthen our project management team.
What does a Technical Project Manager do at skeyes?
As a Technical Project Manager, you are the central figure who leads complex, technically challenging projects from start to finish. You structure the work, monitor progress and ensure that experts, stakeholders and suppliers remain perfectly aligned.
Our projects are multidisciplinary: specialised technical systems, networks, data cabling, IT infrastructure, cyber security, permits, civil works, etc. You maintain an overview and ensure that everything is carried out safely, to a high standard and within scope.
Project start-up and planning
- you bring all parties involved together to determine scope, budget and planning;
- you coordinate the drafting and approval of the concept document and the project management plan.
Technical coordination
- you supervise the development of technical requirements and monitor feasibility within the project frameworks;
- you structure the work for the project team and provide support where necessary.
Procurement & contract management
- you manage purchasing procedures in collaboration with our purchasing department, in accordance with public procurement law;
- you closely monitor contractual agreements with external suppliers.
Quality, safety & risk management
- you monitor the implementation and quality of all project activities;
- you identify risks and proactively develop mitigation measures;
- you guarantee aviation safety during every phase of the project.
Testing & delivery
- you coordinate formal testing, acceptance and operational delivery of new systems;
- you organise the transfer to skeyes' technical services.
Communication & reporting
- you engage and inform internal and external stakeholders;
- you report status, risks and any escalations to management.
Candidate profile
What makes you our perfect Technical Project Manager?
- you have a Master's degree in a technical field;
- you have at least 5 years of experience in project management. A Prince2 certificate is an asset;
- you are enterprising, take initiative and work independently;
- you are analytical, accurate and structured;
- you communicate clearly, are diplomatic and can unite different parties around a common goal;
- you would like to contribute to projects with a significant social impact.
