UTM Manager
As our UTM Manager you will design, drive and implement the skeyes' UTM strategy to ensure an optimal and secure management of the airspace.
What does a skeyes UTM Manager do?
Shape the future of drone airspace management by monitoring developments, identifying needs and risks, and translating strategy into action.
- You monitor regulatory changes, technological innovations, and market trends impacting UTM, drones, and airspace use.
- You identify the needs of stakeholders (public, private, institutional) and assess safety, environmental, and societal risks.
- You define and implement a long-term drone airspace management strategy aligned with skeyes’ priorities through concrete projects and partnerships.
Strategic Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement for UTM Implementation
- You work closely with the operational and technical teams to ensure that the UTM strategy is coherent with skeyes' overall objectives.
- You ensure a flawless communication flow on the UTM strategy to external stakeholders, including regulators, airspace users and other drone industry players.
- You represent skeyes in working groups and in national and international meetings related to the implementation of an efficient UTM system, to represent skeyes' interests.
Ensuring the effective implementation of UTM systems and skeyes' certification as a Common Information Service Provider, while safeguarding integration with existing ATM systems.
- You analyze user needs, define system functional requirements, and coordinate with technical, operational, and IT teams to ensure seamless ATM/UTM integration.
- You oversee activities and compliance processes required for obtaining and maintaining CIS certification, aligning with regulatory and operational standards.
- You continuously monitor and update systems and processes to ensure ongoing certification readiness and operational efficiency.
Leading a team of UTM specialists and experts responsible for supporting the UTM section's regulatory, technical and operational activities.
- You monitor ongoing work and projects at skeyes related to the integration of UAS activities in the airspace.
- You define clear and precise objectives regarding the management of UTM projects for the team.
- You ensure that the information necessary for the proper management of the work and consistency of the actions undertaken is shared and dispersed within your team.
Candidate profile
What makes you the ideal UTM Manager?
- You hold a bachelor’s or master's degree preferably in a technical field.
- You have at least 8 years of professional experience, in an aviation and/or operational environment.
- You can demonstrate that you have relevant professional experience with UTM.
- You have excellent people management skills.
- You are an outstanding communicator and a good negotiator, which allows you to create your network easily and to interact without difficulty with different types of stakeholders.
- You are able to balance multiple competing priorities.
- You are an initiator, assertive, results-oriented and can work in a rapidly changing environment.
- You are able to explain highly technical topics in an accessible way.
- You are fluent in English, French and Dutch.

Security Screening
