Compliance Management Expert

As our Compliance Management Expert, specialising in corporate regulatory compliance, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating and monitoring our cross-functional compliance framework (Level 2) and our normative requirements (Level 3). You will ensure that our organisation complies with all legal obligations, internal policies and all relevant aviation standards.

You will work across the organisation and act as an expert and adviser to all departments that rely on the correct interpretation and application of regulations.

What does a Compliance Management Expert do at skeyes?

  • Compliance framework — You manage the Level 2 (cross-functional) compliance framework and ensure its consistent application across all areas, as well as the Level 3 normative requirements relating to procedures, standards, guidelines and methodologies.
  • Regulatory monitoring — You monitor changes in regulations and translate these into specific obligations and implementation measures.
  • Compliance monitoring — You ensure that regulations are applied correctly through audits, maturity assessments and internal controls. You also monitor the follow-up to your findings and the corrective action plans.
  • Risk analysis — You identify compliance risks and advise on mitigation and control measures.
  • Stakeholder alignment — You work closely with operational and support departments, legal teams, safety management and senior management.
  • Awareness & training — You strengthen the compliance culture by delivering training courses, workshops and/or through other relevant communication channels.

Candidate profile

Why are you our perfect Compliance Management Expert?

  • you hold a master’s degree in law, aviation management, public administration, political science, economics or equivalent through experience;
  • you speak French and/or Dutch and have a good knowledge of English;
  • you have at least 5 years’ experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, audit, safety management or a similar field;
  • you have experience with cross-functional governance and organisation-wide compliance structures (Level 2);
  • you have experience in drafting, managing and harmonising regulatory documentation (Level 3);
  • knowledge of ICAO standards, EASA regulations (including EU 2017/373), EU aviation legislation and Belgian aviation legislation is a plus;
  • experience within an ANSP, aviation authority, aviation operator or a highly regulated public or semi-public environment is a strong advantage;
  • strong analytical skills: able to translate complex regulations into clear obligations and processes;
  • good communication skills: able to explain regulations in a way that is understandable to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • cross-functional collaboration: able to work effectively with operations, legal, safety, quality and management teams;
  • risk insight: able to identify, assess and monitor compliance risks;
  • documentation expertise: skilled at structuring, drafting and maintaining regulatory documents;
  • organisational skills: able to coordinate audits, assessments and follow-up activities.
